Can an orange juice turn into a design object?

Was Orange is a sustainability project promoted by Autogrill in collaboration with Krill Design, a specialist in reusing food industry waste in circular economy projects.

Waste orange peel from over 4,000 points of sale are turned into biomaterial to produce design objects.

The objects designed and manufactured by Krill Design for Autogrill tell a story, that of its origins, of a green model in which all sorts of waste become resources for creating something new. A project that in its first phase led to the production of a sugar sachet holder and a bar stool.
