On July 17h 2023, at Palermo Airport opened f I BANCHI di Ciccio Sultano, a new restaurant offering the best of the Sicilian tradition with a contemporary twist, an ensemble of street food, aristocratic cuisine and home cooking.

I Banchi is an example of “cultured cuisine”, fast but performed with impeccable style, and geared to satisfying all travellers.

For people in a hurry requiring a quick street food type meal, the counter service has some great Sicilian classics, such as Mafalda (pasta) with mortadella (sausage), bap with Panelle (fritters), Pitone alla messinese (veggie pasty), Sfincione Palermitano (pizza), and arancine (rice balls) and cannoli (pastries) of course.

For those preferring to sit and enjoy a meal in tranquillity, the table service offers some of the finest dishes in the Sicilian tradition, served directly to customers’ orders. The menu ranges from the evergreens of southern cooking, such as Spaghetto con sarde a mare (pasta with sardines) to Italian dishes like Mezzi paccheri ai tre pomodori (pasta with tomatoes).
