Over 100 start-ups have submitted solutions designed to improve the consumer experience in Autogrill motorway network points of sale.
InHub’s first and highly successful call for start-ups has just closed. The innovation hub promoted by Autogrill and dedicated solely to motorway Food & Beverage elicited an enthusiastic response from the start-ups that was way beyond expectations, with over 100 businesses from all over the world submitting their solutions to help improve consumers’ experience in points of sale on the motorway network.
59% of the submissions came from Italy, where strong interest was expected, and 27% from the rest of Europe. The remaining 13% was from various parts of the world, including Japan, Iran, the UK, USA, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, thus confirming InHub’s global reach and appeal.
The innovative solutions submitted by these start-ups came from a wide range of sectors, such is the diversity of the challenges and opportunities in the motorway Food & Beverage sector. The submissions were evenly spread across the three project areas – Customer Experience, Sustainability and Operations & Employee Experience – showing keen interest in improving experience for both consumers and operators in motorway points of sale and an increasingly strong focus on the environment.
We’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who has taken part in this initiative and are helping to make InHub not only an innovation centre but also an inexhaustible source of inspiration and collaboration opportunities. We can’t wait for the next development phase and the new opportunities that will be emerging from this stimulating adventure in global innovation.
