All the pleasures of eating Italian, in airports too.
The new Eataly restaurant at Fiumicino Airport (T1, mezzanine level) opened on 15 May. Based on an idea by Oscar Farinetti and launched in 2007, Eataly has enabled global appreciation of the best of Italian food and wine produced by businesses that are little known (but of inestimable value) and who all share a commitment to quality and environmental and economic sustainability.
The restaurant at Fiumicino is a place in which to eat Italian, live Italian and discover our country’s gastronomic tradition in a richly flavoured narrative. Before departing or on arriving, treat yourself to a meal at Eataly and choose your culinary experience.
L’Orto and Il Fritto
On the menu at L’Orto (Kitchen Garden), you’ll find fresh, light dishes made with the finest in-season raw materials. You can choose between the ready-to-eat healthy and diet dishes or compose your own according to taste.
Looking for the ultimate in tastiness? At Il Fritto (Fried Food), you’ll find meat, fish, vegetables, supplì (rice croquettes) and several other types of croquette, and discover what really high quality frying is like.
La Pasta and La Griglia
You’re a lover of 1 st course dishes? At La Pasta, there’s both fresh pasta, from gnocchi and tagliatelle to stuffed ravioli, and dried pasta, all dressed with traditional sauces like pesto or tomato or reinvented sauces even richer in flavour. There’s something for everyone’s tastes, with a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.
If on the other hand you want to try the finest meat, selected by Eataly’s experts, go to La Griglia. In front of your eyes, their chefs will cook you a beef tagliata, a hamburger or some chicken or pork, all served with grilled in-season vegetables or baked potatoes.
Bar Vini e Aperitivi
